BeWiDo B.V. values the privacy of our partners and customers. Below we explain what information we use, and how we use it.
Server Logs
The web server does log your IP address in standard server logs. We use your IP address to help diagnose possible problems with our server, and to administer our website.
Registration data
Your subscription data, like company name, personal name, email address and mailing address are stored in a database and used for the purpose of Volatile Compounds in Food only. We store the number of times and the last time you have logged in as a user.
If you are a member of a company or organisation which is a subscriber, the company representative obtains a list of all users from that company and their number of logins. He or she has to verify that no users outside the company at a particular site are using the company subscription illegally.
Your registration data are not used beyond the scope of this application and not revealed to any other party.
Cookies
This website does use a cookie to identify former search status on this PC. If you share this PC with others, you may clear former search actions by clearing the search history or by removing this cookie. Login status is stored server side during the duration of the session only. If you do not logout, the session will end after 120 minutes of inactivity.
Mailings
If you have indicated (opt in) that you want to be on the list for VCF mailings, you will get emails or surface mail whenever there is relevant information about changes in the VCF data or other related events. Otherwise your email address or mailing address will be used for administrative purposes only, like renewal of your subscription, invoices and changes of registration data.
Data protection
Unless otherwise stated information transmitted to VCF through this website is not encrypted and could be intercepted by third parties or electronically delivered to parties other than the addressee. Any such information is sent at your own risk and you should therefore carefully consider its sensitivity before transmitting it. Also requests by email for your personal username and password in case of loss are not encrypted.
